STARING DEATH IN THE FACE…….

Wuz good world dis ya boi White Sox Real Talk checkin in with a VERY, VERY dissapointing sweep at the hands of the Twins. Now I know that pic above is old but it really explains the feelings of the Sox & their fans right now. Things are as bad as they’ve been all season on the southside, we came into this game looking to avoid the sweep against the Twins rookie pitcher Brian Dueseng, he went 5 innings& gave up only 2 runs….INEXCUSEABLE!!! YOU CAN’T JUST SCORE 2 RUNS AGAINST A ROOKIE PITCHER……HAMMER THAT CLOWN!!! but NOOOOOO we make him look like an ace as he only really gave up 2 bad pitches, a homer to Nix & Carlos Quentin. Then guess what happened folks…yea thats right an error leads to a RBI single by Alexei Casilla!!!! yes the Twins player that is batting .171 on the year!!!!! and we making him look like a baseball god as he scored two of their 3 runs!!!!!

So the ninth rolls around and Nathan comes out…the Sox made it interesting with runners on 2nd & 3rd with 2 outs but same bat time, same bat channel as new White Sox Mark Kotsay lines out hard to Michael Cuddyer, in any other park that is a 2 RBI single but not in the Death Dome.
FROM BAD TO WORSE……..

And to add salt to the already open wound Alexei Ramirez got carried off the field as he injured his ankle in the 7th inning and according to Sox beat writer Mark Gonzales Alexei was on crutches in the locker room but Ozzie said in his post game press conference that it shouldnt be as bad as it looks, I don’t know if that is true or he’s just trying to save face. Bartolo Colon is also back on the DL with some type of injury to his fat elbow!! i don’t even care anymore & also Carlos was limping after he hit his homer tonight and looks beaten down.
TURNING POINT…..

Now we are at the dreaded turning point in the season, after going 1-6 on their 7 game roadie they now go back home to Da Cell to face the hottest team in the AL the New York Yankees yea thats right Derek Jeter, A-Roid & Crew are coming to hunt us.There is only one good thing about this series is that its at home. I will be a game 1 but i am not looking foward to what I might see lol What makes this even worse is that Detroit will be playing the Cliff Lee-less Cleveland Indians(Lee got traded to the world champ Phillies earlier today) We gotta take at least 3 outta 4 to stay alive because if we don’t that might be the nail in the coffin. Other news in Soxville is that Josh Fields was sent down to Triple A. Until next time…Peace I’m goin to find some Alchol right now lol

TIME TO KEEP IT REAL ON THE AL CENTRAL RACE!!

OK…LET ME GET STRAIGHT TO THE POINT I AM SICK OF THIS CRAP! Now last night was the tale of two games it went from “Can Buerhle get a perfect game AGAIN???” to “Damn we’re down 5-1 how did that happen??” I’m not gonna recap nothing today I’m just gonna talk about the most frustrating things of last night . The only good thing that happened last night was Buerhle retiring a ML record 45 batters in a row & then the classy Twins fans giving him a standing O.

Now after that he walks Casilla then gives up a hit to Denard Span with 2 OUTS!! so then Mauer hits flyball to left field and what happens???????? SCOTT PODSEDNIK BECAME ALFONSO SORIANO AND FORGOT HOW TO FIELD!!!!

Then Chris Getz does the most stupid thing ever in the 7th when he move to the right on a play that was easily a double play especially with JOE FREAKIN CREDE!!! but NOOOOOO CHRIS GETZ THINKS ITS A HIT & RUN BUT THE ONLY PROBLEM IS…….NO ONE’S RUNNING JACKASS!!!! Then before you know it there’s runners on 2nd & 3rd NO OUTS, base hit from Michael Cuddyer hits a single and “WOW…..WE’RE ACTUALLY LOSING?????”

REAL TALK:

Now I’m finna do what the title of my blog says give the Sox some REAL TALK! Now you’re SUPPOSED to win this division, you’re SUPPOSED to have the best pitching rotation in the division but if you don’t play a little thing called…….DEFENSE you are NOT gonna win this division. Now I am one of the fans who feels weird stuff happens in the dome but let’s be real people the Chicago White Sox are a TERRIBLE defensive team, outta the 9 runs the Twins have scored in the 1st two games we have GIVEN THEM 7 OF THOSE RUNS WITH OUR WEAK DEFENSE!!! and also stop the complaining man. The Twins are not the freaking(i really wanna say another word) Yankees of the 90’s!!! Every single time we go there we act like they are just UNBEATABLE NOOOOO IF YOU START PLAYING DEFENSE YOU CAN WIN!!! AND IF THEY THINK THAT THIS KINDA PLAY IS GONNA FLY AGAINST THE YANKEES???? STOP IT! WE WILL BE COOKED IF WE DON’T GET BETTER DEFENSIVELY!
WILL THE REAL CARLOS QUENTIN STAND UP?????

Now Carlos how can I say this……………..YOU CAN’T KEEP GOIN 0-4!! YOU HAVE LIKE 4 HITS SINCE BEING BACK! I KNOW YOU ARE HEALTHY AFTER MAKING THAT PAY IN DETROIT A COUPLE DAYS AGO SO WHERE’S THE OFFENSE???? The main question here is Carlos Quentin really the player he showed us last year??? or was that just a flash in the pan and he is really just a injury prone bum??? MAYBE THE DIAMONDBACKS KNEW SOMETHING WE DIDN’T???? NOW ALL I KNOW IS IF WE DON’T FIX ALL THIS WE HAVE NOOOOO CHANCE IN THIS DIVISION, UNTIL NEXT TIME PEACE!!…..GO BEARS!

SOX AVOID SWEEP, THE TWINKIES AWAIT AT THE DEATH DOME!

Wuz good world dis ya boi White Sox Real Talk checkin back in after my Sox avoid a 4 game sweep at the hands of the Tigers. Basically everything that happened in this game happened in the 1st inning lol The Sox pounced on Adam Porcello right out the gate on a failed double play attempt that gave us the early 2-0 lead then with Thome on 1st base Paulie hit his 20th homer of the season to give us a 4-0 lead(Paulie has yet to have a cold streak this is VERY good) then the youngest Gun Gordon Beckham followed a couple batters later with his 4th homer of the season to make it 5-0.

What can I say about this kid here ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ lol I mean he is a tough code to crack, one day he is HORRIBLE the next he is fantatstic, in his two starts this week he has pitched a combined 16 innings(two 8 inning outings for you dummies lol) and has given up a combined 2 runs. Now the main question is has Clayton really turned the corner for good or his he just pitching well because he knows his job is on the line????? I don’ know but his showings have definitely made this 5th starter debacle even bigger, should the Sox ride his hot hand & put Colon in the pen or let Colon pitch & throw Clayton in the pen????? I don’t know the answers to these questions but it also poses the question “Could Clayton’s dominance put us in the Halladay race???” Could he be the bait that reels in the AL’s best pitcher to the Southside??

The funniest image of the night was when ESPN showed Kenny WIlliams in the press box on his laptop with headphones on lol two questions came to mind….1 was what the hell is Kenny listening to???? & 2nd what GM is he having a convo with on AIM lmao!!! cuz you know he just wasn’t chillin with his Itunes playlist blasting lol thats not Kenny Williams. Now I’m happy that we won but still nervous because we head to the dreaded dome tommorow night. Last time we were thee before the breake we blew the 1st game, barely won the 2nd & Buerhle got thrashed in the finale. Weird things happen in that dome & even though the Twins have been playing horrible as of late they would like nothing more than to come home to a frenzied crowd & feast on some White Sox.

Johnny Danks returns to the rotation tommorow & just at the right time, he will be followed by Mark Buerhle & Bartolo Colon. If we don’t play well we are gonna be looking at a very dark road with the Yankees & Angels coming to our hous this weekend. Pennant Race is defintley in full swing until next time tho this is White Sox Real Talk PEACE!!!!!!!!!!!!

DOME WOES CONTINUE!!!

Wuz good world dis ya boi White Sox Real Talk checkin in with a new blog on the Sox starting the first game of a 3 game set with the Twinkies in the dreaded Metrodome. The Sox came into this game losing a slugfest to the Indians 10-8 thursday afternoon. They had Johnny Danks on the mound as he looked to extend his 19 inning scorless streak and go to two games above .500 in his record. The game started off justs like the last one left off as Danks walked the first 4 batters of the game and put the Sox in an early 4-0 hole.The Sox then made a comback and tied it up in the 6th Inning off a Sac fly by Chris Getz. Thats when the little Twinkies got back to their old tricks to take a hold of this critical game.After a leadoff walk that eventually got to third base off back to back steals(traditional Minnesota Twins baseball) Joe Mauer gave the Twinkies the lead 5-4.

Then just when you thought the game would stay there the Twins did more typical Twins moves when Carlos Gomez a had successful bunt single off Bobby Jenks in the 8th inning with 2 outs to make it a 6-4 game.

Then the Twinkies lights out closer Joe Nathan came in a extended his streak of no runs allowed since May 15th as he took out the Sox lineup 1,2,3 to get his 23rd save of the year.
Tommorow night we will have Gavin Floyd on the bump taking on the Twins’ Glen Perkins as they look to get back in this series. The Tigers also won so the Sox lost some ground today goin back to 3.5 games out of 1st place.

SOX BEGIN FINAL 6 GAMES BEFORE BREAK, INDIANS AT CELL

Wuz good world dis ya boi White Sox Real Talk checking in to preview the Sox’s last 2 series before the all-star break & I will also rant on the All-Star selections so LET’S GET STARTED PEOPLE!! LOL

First off let me start by saying Mark Buerhle is defintley deserving of being an all-star for the 4th time in his career. The man is 8-2 with a 3.04 ERA and could be 10-2 by the time he takes the mound on Tuesday at Busch Stadium. Tommorow the Sox will welcome a Mark DeRosa-less Cleveland Indians to the Cell for a 3 game set where we will send out Buerhls in game 1, Jose in Gm 2 & Clayton Richard in Gm 3. They will send out Jeremey Sowers, Aaron Laffey & David Huff respectively.

Now the Sox have been nothing short of average at home this year with a 20-20 record but would be nice to get that up to 23-20 with a clean sweep of the Indians. Then after this series the Sox will take their first trip to the Dreaded Metrodome in Minnesota to face The M&M boys & Joe Crede.

We play so horrible here that if we win 1 game I will consider that a successful series lol. But good news is that we will have the cream of the crop in our pitching staff on the mound in this series. Danks, Gavin & Buerhls will hopefully get the job done and end the 1st half of the season on the right foot.

Alright here’s the part of the show where I get to ranting LOL drumroll please……………..WHY THE HELL ARE JD & BOBBY JENKS NOT GOING TO ST.LOUIS??? LETS BE REAL PEOPLE ANDREW BAILEY FROM OAKLAND SHOULD NOT BE AN ALL-STAR SURE THE 2.03 ERA IS NICE BUT ONLY 9 SAVES???? STOP IT! BOBBY JENKS HAS 19 SAVES, SURE HIS ERA IS ABOUT A RUN HIGHER BUT HE HAS ONLY 2 BLOWN SAVES COMPARED TO BAILEY’S 4 BLOWN SAVES…THE ONLY REASON HE IS ON THE ROSTER IS BECAUSE OF THAT B.S. ONE ALL-STAR PER TEAM RULE. IT SHOULD BE STRICTLY ABOUT STATS MAN! NOW ON TO JD, THE MAN IS DOIN IT PEOPLE YOU’VE GOT ICHIRO ON THERE JUST BECAUSE HIS WHOLE DAMN COUNTRY VOTED HIM IN, BESIDES BATTING AVERAGE HE IS NOT BEATING JD IN ANY MAJOR CATEGORY!!! JD IS BATTING .291, 20 HRS, 53 RBI’S A SLUG % OF .571 & A .364 OBS COMPARED TO ICHIRO’S 3 HRS, 20 RBI’S, STOP THE MADNESS NOW!!! FANS SHOULDN’T EVEN BE ABLE TO VOTE MAN ITS JUST A DAMN POPULARITY CONTEST, SHOULD BE BOUT STATS!!!! ok im done lol until next time I’m White Sox Real Talk PEACE!! Aw yea Detroit loses to KC tonight so we gain some ground only 2 games outta 1st!!

SLOWLY SINKING….

Wuz good world dis ya boi White Sox Real Talk checkin back in after a horrible offensive performance by the Sox last night. What can i say about this team hmmm…….i got it, this years White Sox are kinda like when you’re on a plane that has a lot of turbulence and then the ride is smooth for about 5 minutes and then a huge dip occurs again.Just when you think that the Sox are gonna start rollin they put up a 4 hit, 2 run performance like they did last night. I blame this loss SOLELY on the White Sox weak offense because once again we blow another good performance from a Sox pitcher with bad no let me re-phrase that, horrendous offense.

Besides the rough two innings where he was pitching slower than usual John Danks was solid, he shut the Dodgers offense for 5 more innings. The main problem for us was this guy:

Hiroki Kuroda, we made this guy look like a Hall of Famer. He almost CG us until JD hit an RBI single in the 9th to make it a 3 run ball game. Now while I was watching this horrible excuse for a baseball game I was also for the 1st time in my 20 years of life checking in on the Cubs game ONLY BECAUSE THEY WERE PLAYING THE TIGERS DON’T GET IT TWISTED LOL I wanted the Cubs to win for the first time in my life because the Tigers are leading our division then I almost forgot who I was watching as the Cubs used their God-given ability to LOSE off the bat of Ryan Rayburn as Kevin Gregg(which will bring me to another point later( gave up a win on the walkoff as he blew another save.

Now with the Sox down 6 games in the division the real question is with the trade deadline approaching in like 5 weeks will Kenny Williams be a buyer or seller???? Now im not completely jumping off the boat yet because a 6 game lead is no where near insurmountable and also besides Justin Verlander that Tigers pitching staff & bullpen doesn’t invoke fear into me. Now with the 2nd half approaching soon you gotta be aware of the Piranhas.

Right now they are just doing what they usually do, they stay afloat only being 4 games behind the Tigers and as soon as the 2nd half begins they do a transformation and become the deadly Pirannhas. Thats why the Sox need to get a run going because this will be a 3 headed race real soon and with nuthing but games at the dreaded Metrodome left against the Twins its gonna get real hard. So if I’m Kenny I would still be a buyer instead of a seller because if we can get one more solid starter I believe things will get REAL interesting with a 3 team battle between Tigers, Sox & of course the deadly Pirannhas for that AL Central title. GAME 163, CHICAGO ARE U READY????

LAST THURSDAY THEY HAD BEEN BEATEN PHYSICALLY AND MENTALLY AFTER A 3-GAME SWEEP AT THE HANDS OF THE MINNESOTA TWINS, EVERYTHING LOOKED BLEAK FOR THE WHITE SOX AS THEY HAD TO BASICALLY GO 5-0 TO GO TO THE POSTSEASON AND WITH THE TWINS GOING HOME TO PLAY THE KANSAS CITY ROYALS IT LOOKED ALL BUT OVER. BUT THEN THE UNTHINKABLE HAPPENED KANSAS CITY COMES RIGHT INTO THE DREADED METRODOME AND TAKE 2 OUT OF 3 FROM THE TWINS SURE THE SOX LOST 2 TO THE INDIANS AS WELL BUT THE HEART OF THE SOX WAS STILL BEATING. THEN BEFORE YOU KNOW IT THEY WIN ON SUNDAY 5 TO 1 AGAINST INDIANS TO SET UP THE MAKEUP GAME WITH THE TIGERS AND IN A CLOSE 2-2 GAME IN THE BOTTOM OF THE 6TH WITH BASES LOADED AND 1 OUT THIS HAPPENED:

ALEXEI RAMIREZ BREATHED EVEN MORE LIFE INTO THE SOX PLAYOFF HOPES AND A BLOW TO THE TWINS CLINCHING ON MONDAY. NOW THE TWINS DO WHAT THEY ABSOLUTELY DIDNT WANT TO TO DO AS THEY WILL HAVE TO HOP A PLANE A HEAD TO A PLACE WHERE THEY ARE ONLY 2-7 THIS YEAR, U.S.CELLULAR FIELD. BUT WITH ALL THAT BEING SAID HISTORY IS NOT ON THE SIDE OF EITHER TEAM. FOR THE TWINS THE LAST 3 1 GAME PLAYOFFS HAVE BEEN WON BY THE HOME TEAM AND FOR THE SOX NO TEAM IN MLB HISTORY HAS EVER WON 3 GAMES IN A ROW AGAINST 3 DIFFRENT TEAMS TO MAKE THE POSTSEASON. BUT ALL THOSE STATS GO OUT THE DOOR ALL THAT MATTERS IS 1 GAME AND NO MATTER THE OUTCOME I WILL BE PROUD OF MY 2008 WHITE SOX BECAUSE WE FIGHT THROUGH EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE NO ONE EVEN EXPECTED US TO EVEN BE CLOSE TO 1 WIN AWAY FROM A DIVISION TITLE. THAT IS REALLY A TESTAMENT TO OUR TEAMS COMEBACK ATTITUDE AND OF COURSE IN MY OPINION THE BEST MANAGER IS BASEBALL HATE HIM OR LOVE HIM OZZIE GUILLEN

IF WE WIN, WE ADVANCE TO PLAY THE RAYS ON THURSDAY AND THE SOUTHSIDE IS GON PARTY ALL NIGHT BUT EVEN IF WE LOSE, HELL YEA I’LL BE DISSAPOINTED CUZ I NEVER WANNA SEE MY SOX LOSE BUT AT LEAST THEY WENT OUT SWINGING AND WITH SOME HONOR THIS WILL BE A GREAT SEASON EITHER WAY BUT I THINK WE WILL GET IT DONE TONIGHT. JOHN DANKS I THINK WILL DELIVER ON THE BIGGEST START OF HIS YOUNG CAREER AND IT SHOULD BE A FUN NIGHT. I WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THERE TO ROOT MY SOX ON BUT THE GAME SOLD OUT BEFORE I EVEN CAME HOME FROM WORK LAST NIGHT LOL, SO I’LL BE ROOTING AT HOME

THANK YOU GOD!!! WHITE SOX AND TWINS IN PLAYOFF GAME!

WHAT IS REALLY GOOD PEOPLE!!!! I HOPE YOU ALL ARE FEELING AS GREAT AS I AM RIGHT NOW CUZ MY SOX ARE GONNA GET ANOTHER SHOT AT THE DAMN TWINS TOMMOROW!!!!

This game all turned around when Alexei Ramirez hit a SHOT HEARD ROUND THE CITY:

I was at work watching the game and as soon as he hit hit I FLEW OUT MY CHAIR AND RAN AROUND THE PLACE LOL That was The best moment of the season so far. Now looking forward to tommorow boy is it gonna be good. Believe me U.S. Celluar Field is THEE LAST PLACE the Twins want to be tommorow. They are 2-7 at Da Cell this year and they will be pitching Nick Blackburn(who has not been good lately) against John Danks and the winner is AL Central Champ and loser goes home right now i think the Sox have all the momentum and Twins might be scared to play here, BUT THEY ARE STILL THE PIRAHNAS so the Sox better not be TOO confident but i believe we will get it done GO SOX!!!

AL CENTRAL RACE UPDATE:PLAYOFFS COME A LITTLE EARLY

Wuz good world this is White Sox Real Talk im sorry i havent wrote a blog since friday but its been a very dissapointing weekend for me. First the Sox blow 2 HUGE oppurtunites to regain 1st place on Friday & Saturday then I had to take the long route home on Saturday because the Chicago Police shot someone in my neighborhood and the streets were blocked off(but thats a story for another day). Anyway things looked MUCH BETTER on Sunday as not only did my Bears beat the Eagles 24-20 but MY WHITE SOX STAYED ALIVE WITH A 5-1 VICTORY OVER THE INDIANS. So now that takes us into today:

It will be Tigers and White Sox and basically the playoffs began for us yestserday cuz from here on out its WIN OR GO HOME!!!. Its really very simple we win tonight then we host the Twins in a AL Central Divison Title game tomorrow evening(AND IF THAT GAME HAPPENS TOMMOROW I WILL BE IN ATTENDANCE TO WATCH THE SOX KICK THE **** OUT THE TWINS) OR we lose and Season is over and I’ll begin my mourning for about 2 days then get ready to root against the Cubs on Wensday lol. I hope the White Sox can carry the momemtum over from yesterday into todays game because if they think that a Jim Leyland Baseball Club is just gon roll over cuz they have nothing to play for, then you better think again. AND GUESS WHO’S ON THE MOUND FOR THE TIGERS TODAY?????? OUR OLD FRIEND FREDDY GARCIA. Freddy is DEFINTELY going to pitch hard today as he is tryna keep a spot on the Tigers for next year. I know Detroit is going to come to play because lets go back to Spring Training and EVERYBODY EVEN ME thought they were going to the World Series after they aquired Miguel Cabrera and Dontrelle Willis. But thats the funny thing about baseball you never know whats gonna happen as the Tigers have the worst record in the AL Central. So they would love nothing more but to end the White Sox season today. So thats my analysis if i don’t write another blog this evening that means that we lost lol. So hopefully I’ll be back at the Good ‘Ol Laptop this evening. GO SOX!!!! DO U BELIVE IN MIRACLES????

AL CENTRAL RACE RECAP SEPT.25TH:HEARTBREAK SOUTHSIDE

TWINS 7,WHITE SOX 6

Devastation…..Heartbreak….Shock….Bamboozled…..Speechless. Those were all the words that described how I was feeling last night at approximatley 10:45pm. There were runners on 1st and 3rd, 2 Outs, 1-2 count, then BANG Alexi Casilla hits a RBI single right down the throats of White Sox fans everywhere. Pandamonium erupts at the Metrodome, The Twins rush the field to celebrate, I Damn near break my remote and fall to the floor with my head down just shocked and wondering WHAT THE **** JUST HAPPENED?. We had a 6-1 lead and let them score 6 unanswered runs for a comeback victory. Sure there were some HORRIBLE calls by 3rd Base Umpire Marquez who ROYALLY SCREWED NICK SWISHER:

But thats not what lost us the game, we just couldn’t muster any runs off the Twins. Even though we scored 6 in the 4th inning if you go back and watch the tape we really didn’t do ****. We scored five of those 6 runs off defensive errors by the Twins. So it wasn’t like we just exploded in that inning. After that inning its was 1,2,3…YOU’RE OUT!!!! for the rest of the game, and the pirhannas just kept chipping at our lead. So 8th Inning rolls around and what happens? the Twins score on bloop-*** singles LIKE THEY ALWAYS DO!!!!. Once we got to extras i knew it was over. So now the Sox head home in 2nd place, and a beaten and battered team mentally. Now we gotta use Da Cell as a Springboard to get us to the postseason

All of our remaing games will be played here, sure we’re 53-26 at home but we can’t afford even 1 loss or its time to back it up for the winter. We have got to sweep the Indians,Beat the Tigers in the makeup game, and welcome the Twins to HELL in a tiebreaker. I now have to hope that the KANSAS CITY ROYALS BEAT THE TWINS AT THE DOME, BUT WHAT ARE THE ODDS OF THAT HAPPENING??. So mathmatically we’re still in it but emotionally I think my Sox have already packed it up. I sure hope I’m wrong, but we don’t deserve to be in the playoffs and its a shame cuz we’ve come so far from last year but we need a MIRACLE on 35th and Shields this weekend. They need something to pump them up i suggest that Ozzie play this movie before tonights game lol:
