OK where the hell have these White Sox been???? lol I mean Seriously if we would’ve played like this on that damn road trip we wouldn’t be 7 games out right now. I mean this game was done in the 3rd inning, the runs started producing in the 2nd when Mark Kotsay finally got off the snide & hit a 2 run blast to right field. Then in the 3rd the Sox put up a 5 spot on Paul Byrd(or as Steve Stone called him, Kelsey Grammar lol). Every White Sox player that started got a hit & they then feasted on the Red Sox bullpen & eventually winning 12-2. Of course tho my evening was ruined anyway because those damn Tigers held off a Rays rally in Tampa Bay to win 4-3 & keep us 7 games back. But I really can’t get that mad because we have no one to blame but ourselves by going 3-8 in that 11 game road trip. Now we just gotta hope we get on a roll & that the Tigers hit a bump in the road. The Tigers have been pretty consistent the whole season so hopefully that wall isn’t far away lol. Now hopefully a lil home cooking will get the Sox to stir a nice winning streak like the one we had in late June, early July where we won 8 in a row. The only hope i can cling to right now is that we can be somewhere between 3-5 games of Detroit before the start of our 3 game series in late September at Da Cell. Hopefully that could setup a Division deciding series at Comerica Park in da D the 1st week of October. But maybe I’m just dreaming…..Maybe I’m just talking about stuff that isn’t realistic for this team, I dunno. What I do know is that this thing isn’t over until its over, I’ve seen weirder stuff happen in baseball, just gotta take it one game at a time, thats all we can do & hope the chips fall in place for us. The thing that keeps me from predicting a Southside comeback is these two things. One we are thee WORST defensive team in the American League & Secondly the bullpen. Pena, Dotel & Scott Linesuck have been HORRIBLE the last couple of weeks. The only reliable arm beside Bobby Jenks is Matt Thornton & you can’t keep throwing him out there everyday. But with all that being said…anything can happen with September baseball so we’ll see.
Aw yea also congrats to Freddy Garcia for picking up his 1st win since his comeback to the Sox, he has been looking real good with his last 2 starts hopefully he can continue to look good.
-Jake Peavy is still day to day with his elbow injury & Kenny says as long as we are still in the race that he will try to comeback this season. I wouldn’t get our hopes up tho….
Until next time yall this White Sox Real Talk…PEACE!!!!!!!!!!!

Wuz good world dis ya boi White Sox Real Talk checkin back in after my Sox avoid a 4 game sweep at the hands of the Tigers. Basically everything that happened in this game happened in the 1st inning lol The Sox pounced on Adam Porcello right out the gate on a failed double play attempt that gave us the early 2-0 lead then with Thome on 1st base Paulie hit his 20th homer of the season to give us a 4-0 lead(Paulie has yet to have a cold streak this is VERY good) then the youngest Gun Gordon Beckham followed a couple batters later with his 4th homer of the season to make it 5-0.
What can I say about this kid here ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ lol I mean he is a tough code to crack, one day he is HORRIBLE the next he is fantatstic, in his two starts this week he has pitched a combined 16 innings(two 8 inning outings for you dummies lol) and has given up a combined 2 runs. Now the main question is has Clayton really turned the corner for good or his he just pitching well because he knows his job is on the line????? I don’ know but his showings have definitely made this 5th starter debacle even bigger, should the Sox ride his hot hand & put Colon in the pen or let Colon pitch & throw Clayton in the pen????? I don’t know the answers to these questions but it also poses the question “Could Clayton’s dominance put us in the Halladay race???” Could he be the bait that reels in the AL’s best pitcher to the Southside??
The funniest image of the night was when ESPN showed Kenny WIlliams in the press box on his laptop with headphones on lol two questions came to mind….1 was what the hell is Kenny listening to???? & 2nd what GM is he having a convo with on AIM lmao!!! cuz you know he just wasn’t chillin with his Itunes playlist blasting lol thats not Kenny Williams. Now I’m happy that we won but still nervous because we head to the dreaded dome tommorow night. Last time we were thee before the breake we blew the 1st game, barely won the 2nd & Buerhle got thrashed in the finale. Weird things happen in that dome & even though the Twins have been playing horrible as of late they would like nothing more than to come home to a frenzied crowd & feast on some White Sox.
Johnny Danks returns to the rotation tommorow & just at the right time, he will be followed by Mark Buerhle & Bartolo Colon. If we don’t play well we are gonna be looking at a very dark road with the Yankees & Angels coming to our hous this weekend. Pennant Race is defintley in full swing until next time tho this is White Sox Real Talk PEACE!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOW what a difference 48 hours makes…..Wuz good world dis ya boi White Sox Real Talk checkin back in with a blog after a VERY VERY VERY disappointing 3 games against the Detroit Tigers. Yesterday after a perfect game from Mark Buerhle the White Sox got swept in the doubleheader to kick off the series. Today was definitely a must win, Gavin Floyd started today & gave up 2 runs early but was LIGHTS OUT after that going 6 more innings & giving up NO RUNS & looking fantastic.
Then A.J. started his very hot night (where he went 4 for 4) in the 2nd he got the White Sox 1st run with his 12 homer of the season.
Then in the 5th the Sox’s youngest guns Chris Getz & Gordon Beckham struck as Beckham scored Getz to tie the game at 2. Then our MVP of the season so far Scotty Pods gave us the lead with an RBI single. So fast foward to the 8th Bobby Jenks after blowing his last save comes in to get a 4 out save and cut the division lead back to 1 game. It started off well as he got Jose Guillen out with runners on the corners, then he gets the 1st out in the 9th but thats when it went all downhill as he gave up back to back hits and had runners on the corners with 1 out, so he then got Miguel Cabera to pop out then Bad Bobby showed up again……….
on a 2-2 count Curtis Granderson score the tying run on a JUST FAIR line drive to right field. Bobby then got the last out but the questions surrounding him will be even louder now as he blows his 4th save of the season, his 2nd in the last week.
Now after this happened I knew we were destined to lose this game and boy was I right. After Fernando Rodney shut us down in top of the 10th, D.J. Carrasco came out the pen & gave up the winning run on a bloop RBI single by Carlos Guillen.
Now we have dropped 3 in a row and are back to 3 games behind in the AL Central. That leads us to tommorow under the bright lights on ESPN Sunday Night Baseball where we will have to have another great outing from Clayton Richard(don’t know how realstic that is tho) and at least get one win before heading to hell on monday AKA The Metrodome. Now with the trading deadline approaching will Bobby Jenks be on the trading block???? will Halliday save the day if he comes in a trade???? will the back end of the bullpen get better??? will the White Sox offense wake up???? there are a lot more questions than answers on the Southside…..things are looking pretty bleak, But until next time I’m White Sox Real Talk….PEACE!!!!!!!!!!!!
