BACK LIKE I LEFT SOMETHING!

ozzieback.jpg

What is good world! its ya boy White Sox Real Talk checking in for the 1st time in a few months, didn’t want to post anything the last few months until the dust settled from all the moves the Sox were making. It is now the end of January and Spring Training is right around the corner and the smoke in the air is becoming much more clear. Kenny has made a lot of moves in the offseason as far as bringing Teahen, re-signing Carlos Quentin, Bobby Jenks & Freddy Garcia but Mr.Williams has also gotten rid of Sox favorite Scotty Pods and also made some questionable moves. So let me get started on what I think of the new additions to White Sox Nation

SENIOR CITIZEN SOX:
1st off LOL @ my title for this segment, but it is very true. Kenny Williams has brought a LOT of age on board with the additions of Omar Visquel & Andruw Jones. To tell you thee honest truth I don’t know what type of Cocaine Kenny was smoking with the Visquel signing, it makes NO sense cuz he is WAAYYYYY too old to make a impact on this ball club.
andruwjones.JPG

Now the Andruw Jone signing is interesting, I say this because yes he is a little older BUT I feel he can make a contribution to this team as a DH, not a HUGE difference but I think a big enough difference to help the team out. I cant lie that I’m a little disappointed that we didn’t pick up Hideki Matsui but I think we will be good enough at that position especially since the DH position is gonna be flopped between multiple players this season.

WHITE SOX REAL TALK APPROVED ACQUISITIONS:
juanpierre.jpg

putz.jpg
Mr.Williams also brought in Juan Pierre& JJ Putz to the team, two moves that I LOVE. A lot of people were bitching and moaning about this Juan Pierre move but I don’t see why. Last year did he not only steal a lot of bases and hit for a .314 average but he CARRIED THE DODGERS WHILE MANNY WAS SUSPENDED!!! WHY WOULDNT YOU WANT HIM???? I mean granted Pods did do a great job last season but do you really think he was gon do that again???? cuz if he was believe me he wouldnt have went to KC lol Juan is consistent people, he will be a great addition to this ball club just watch. Now JJ will also be solid in my opinion and anytime you have the opportunity to get rid of Octavio Dotel, you should take it lol

BEST ROTATION IN AL????

peavyw.jpg

Am I the only one excited as hell for the debut of the “Fantastic Four” which is Peavy,Buerhle, Floyd & Danks(who just signed today and hopefully that extension is coming) According to sportingnews.com the Sox have the 5th best rotation in not the AL but the MAJORS! that makes me VERY excited. Now add that with a solid 5th starter in Freddy Garcia and a solid bullpen I think the Sox are on the way to another division title in 2010 especially with this happening:
granderyank.jpg
Hey Detroit Im sorry for your loss……NOT LMAO!! That move added with the the loss of Polanco single handedly made the Detroit Tigers a non contender. The only competition is now the Twins, and I’m not really worried bout them ******** without a dome. But before I sign off I wanna address a little situation that might be brewing…..
JDwin.jpg
So sources are saying that Jermaine Dye might be going to(drum roll please)…….THE CUBS! Let me just start off saying that JD is my favorite player and also one of the main reasons why we won in ’05 BUT with all that being said if he does sign with the Cubs…..HE IS DEAD TO ME! PERIOD! YOU DONT SIGN WITH THE ENEMY!…….That is all, so until next time……PEACE!!!

MARINERS SHOT BY A CUBAN MISSILE!!

clutchcuban.jpg

Wow how can I describe this game lol Wuz good world dis ya boi White Sox Real Talk checkin back in after a much needed White Sox win in Seattle. Let me just start off by saying if we would have lost this game I would’ve been able to sleep better after a open-heart surgery with no anesthesia than after losing this lol. John Danks was phenomenal pitching a whole 8 innings and giving up only one run in the 4th off a Russell Branyan RBI single. After that he didn’t have a blemish striking out 7.
danksclutch.jpg
What was so agonizing about watching this game was the Sox weren’t able to get anything going offensively. But the comeback came in the 9th when former White Sox David Aardsma came in to get his 28th save of the season & almost gave up a lead-off homer to Paulie but a great catch by Franklin Guiterrez saved a homer. After that Aardsma walked A.J., gave up a base hit to Carlos & then the Cuban Missle Alexei Ramirez blasted a ball to left field to give the Sox a 3-1 lead.
gone.jpg
outtahere.jpg
I jumped out my chair after this homer & a huge sigh of relief came across me & then the best part was when Bobby Jenks came in & got the save despite all the Kidney Stone problems. Detroit lost to Boston for the 2nd straight night & Sox cut the division lead down to 2 games with the win.
RIOS ARRIVES:
riosarrives.jpg
Alex Rios arrived in Seattle today & joined his new White Sox teammates, was not in the lineup tonight but is scheduled to start tomorrow. Now on the radio I heard that Jermaine Dye was a lil skeptical about this move saying “This is exciting but I am really confused about it” I just hope this doesn’t start any animosity on this ballclub especially in the thick of the pennant race. Worry about off season stuff in the off season let’s buckle down & win this division because if this works out & we get in the postseason we can get something going & maybe have another parade in October. Tomorrow night Buerhle will try to get back on track going against King Felix so until next time yall PEACE!!!!!!!!!!!

JOHN DANKS ROLLED BY ANGELS, SOX/TRIBE PREVIEW!!

danksrolled.jpg

Wuz good world dis ya boi White Sox Real Talk checking in with a recap on this last series & to preview the upcoming series with the Indians. Ok coming into this afternoon’s game the Sox were looking to sweep the top team in the AL for the 2nd week in a row, BUT as usual they don’t. John Danks was shaky from the start giving up 6 runs in 6 innings, walking damn near everybody & also letting the Angels steal 4 bases off him. With all that being said the Sox still scored 5 runs & if it wasnt for Danks bad start might have won the game.
BONEHEAD PLAYS:
beckham.jpg
Today I was reminded that Gordon Beckham is still a rookie lol making a horrible throw to Paulie in the 1st that could have gotten them out of that inning with no runs scored & probably changing the flow of the game but he gave up 2 runs on that error. Then in the 2nd inning JD had a “Milton Bradley Moment” when he forgot how many outs there were which lead to a run score off a Sac Fly that wasn’t supposed to happen. Now to look on the bright side in the 7 games that the Sox have played against the two teams that were supposed “destroy us” they took 5 of those games and looked real solid. Now other bad news was that Tigers won 7-3 against the O’s & gain some ground by extending their division lead by 2 games. If you can’t tell already this is definitely gonna be a battle to the finish as it keeps goin up & down but I am waiting for the Sox to string off like 5 in a row to take the division lead & they have a GREAT chance to do that this weekend.
SOX/TRIBE PREVIEW:
tribewood.jpg
Now the Sox get ready to take on the Cleveland Indians this weekend in what I like to call a “Trap Series” the reason I call it that is because this is a series that we are supposed to not just win but sweep & the Indians have absolutely nothing to lose & are goin to try ruin our chance of taking the division lead. This is a real key series because we get a chance to bury one of the AL Central bottom feeders while the two teams we are battling with, Detroit & Minnesota beat each other to a pulp at Comerica Park this weekend. If you are the Sox do not take this team lightly because they just beat the Tigers & Twins in series but those were at their ballpark. Take advantage of your homefield and sweep this team before goin to the West Coast to play a good Mariners team & Oakland, a place that has been like the Metrodome pt.2. But let’s check out the pitching match ups this weekend.
FRIDAY:
Mark Buerhle(11-5 3.79 ERA)
VS.
Jeremy Sowers(3-7 4.97 ERA)
let’s see if Mr.Perfect can get back on track after a horrible outing last sunday against the Yankees & also his meltdown against the Twins two weeks ago.
SATURDAY:
TBA
VS.
Carl Pavano(9-8 5.37 ERA)
This will be the 2nd 5th starter spot of the month & its looking like it will be Carlos Torres starting.
SUNDAY:
Jose Contreras(4-10 4.95 ERA)
VS.
David Huff(5-6 6.81 ERA)
This is probably gonna be Jose’s last chance if he doesn’t wanna get kicked out of the rotation, he hasn’t had any problems giving up runs but has walked almost everyone he’s faced.
PEAVY UPDATE:
chipeavy.jpg
I now have some real good news to report on the Jake Peavy front, according to espnchicago.com Jake Peavy will throw a side session for Don Cooper on Saturday & if everything goes as well as planned then he will begin his rehab stints in the minors with probable starts on Aug.13th, 18th & 23rd and if everything goes well he will make his 1st start with the White Sox in Yankee Stadium on August 28th.
OTHER NOTES:
Alexei Ramirez should be back in the lineup tomorrow night
until next time yall PEACE!!!!!

SOX AVOID SWEEP, THE TWINKIES AWAIT AT THE DEATH DOME!

soxwin.jpg

Wuz good world dis ya boi White Sox Real Talk checkin back in after my Sox avoid a 4 game sweep at the hands of the Tigers. Basically everything that happened in this game happened in the 1st inning lol The Sox pounced on Adam Porcello right out the gate on a failed double play attempt that gave us the early 2-0 lead then with Thome on 1st base Paulie hit his 20th homer of the season to give us a 4-0 lead(Paulie has yet to have a cold streak this is VERY good) then the youngest Gun Gordon Beckham followed a couple batters later with his 4th homer of the season to make it 5-0.
claytongreat.jpg
What can I say about this kid here ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ lol I mean he is a tough code to crack, one day he is HORRIBLE the next he is fantatstic, in his two starts this week he has pitched a combined 16 innings(two 8 inning outings for you dummies lol) and has given up a combined 2 runs. Now the main question is has Clayton really turned the corner for good or his he just pitching well because he knows his job is on the line????? I don’ know but his showings have definitely made this 5th starter debacle even bigger, should the Sox ride his hot hand & put Colon in the pen or let Colon pitch & throw Clayton in the pen????? I don’t know the answers to these questions but it also poses the question “Could Clayton’s dominance put us in the Halladay race???” Could he be the bait that reels in the AL’s best pitcher to the Southside??
kennydub.jpg
The funniest image of the night was when ESPN showed Kenny WIlliams in the press box on his laptop with headphones on lol two questions came to mind….1 was what the hell is Kenny listening to???? & 2nd what GM is he having a convo with on AIM lmao!!! cuz you know he just wasn’t chillin with his Itunes playlist blasting lol thats not Kenny Williams. Now I’m happy that we won but still nervous because we head to the dreaded dome tommorow night. Last time we were thee before the breake we blew the 1st game, barely won the 2nd & Buerhle got thrashed in the finale. Weird things happen in that dome & even though the Twins have been playing horrible as of late they would like nothing more than to come home to a frenzied crowd & feast on some White Sox.
jd50.jpg
Johnny Danks returns to the rotation tommorow & just at the right time, he will be followed by Mark Buerhle & Bartolo Colon. If we don’t play well we are gonna be looking at a very dark road with the Yankees & Angels coming to our hous this weekend. Pennant Race is defintley in full swing until next time tho this is White Sox Real Talk PEACE!!!!!!!!!!!!

JOHN DANKS TO MISS NEXT START WITH BLISTER!!

futureace.jpg

Wuz good world dis ya boi White Sox Real Talk checkin in with a pre-game blog on some distrubing news outta the Southside. John Danks will miss his start tommorow due to a blister problem, now they are not putting him on the DL & Sox staff say he should only miss one start but we all know that blister injuries can linger just ask Kerry Wood who had a blister problem last year & never was the same in the 2nd half. Now the Sox have called up Carlos Torres  from Triple A Charlotte  & will start tommorow’s game against the Rays. This isn’t the news I wanted to hear because we are in a Pennant race & we can’t be just giving away wins. We got Clayton on the mound tonight & he has been imploding of late & then Torres starting tommorow, I’m not saying he’s not gonna do well but against the Rays??? Not Likely so i think we are gonna need to score a lot of runs the next two nights to win these games. So hopefully Danks is only gone one start but we will see, until next time yall PEACE!!

DOME WOES CONTINUE!!!

domewoes.jpg

Wuz good world dis ya boi White Sox Real Talk checkin in with a new blog on the Sox starting the first game of a 3 game set with the Twinkies in the dreaded Metrodome. The Sox came into this game losing a slugfest to the Indians 10-8 thursday afternoon. They had Johnny Danks on the mound  as he looked to extend his 19 inning scorless streak and go to two games above .500 in his record. The game started off justs like the last one left off as Danks walked the first 4 batters of the game and put the Sox in an early 4-0 hole. The Sox then made a comback and tied it up in the 6th Inning off a Sac fly by Chris Getz. Thats when the little Twinkies got back to their old tricks to take a hold of this critical game. After a leadoff walk that eventually got to third base off back to back steals(traditional Minnesota Twins baseball) Joe Mauer gave the Twinkies the lead 5-4.
mauer.jpg
Then just when you thought the game would stay there the Twins did more typical Twins moves when Carlos Gomez a had successful bunt single off Bobby Jenks in the 8th inning with 2 outs to make it a 6-4 game.
gomez.jpg
Then the Twinkies lights out closer Joe Nathan came in a extended his streak of no runs allowed since May 15th as he took out the Sox lineup 1,2,3 to get his 23rd save of the year.
Tommorow night we will have Gavin Floyd on the bump taking on the Twins’ Glen Perkins as they look to get back in this series. The Tigers also won so the Sox lost some ground today goin back to 3.5 games out of 1st place.
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY:
before I sign out ima leave yall with some footage from the30th anniversary of the infamous “Disco Demoliton” night…..enjoy UNTIL NEXT TIME YALL PEACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GOOD TIMES ARE A ROLLIN’!!!!

sox4th.jpg

Wuz good world dis ya boi White Sox Real Talk checkin back in as the White Sox extend their winning streak to 7 games and looking like they are prime & ready to properly defend their AL Central Title now. White Sox came into this game trying to crack the code named Zack Grienke who was 10-3 with an ERA around 2 and has simply dominated the Sox this season.
greinke.jpg
The Sox hopped on Greinke early as A.J. lead off the 2nd inning with his 9th homer of the season to make it an early 1-0 lead. Now usually this is where Grienke gets his mojo back and shuts us up for the rest of the game….but not this time. White Sox then scored on a error by Royals 2nd baseman Alberto Callaspo to make it 2-0. The Sox then played small ball the rest of the game to take a 5-0 winfutureace.jpg.
what can I say about Johnny Danks??? cuz it really looks like he’s getting back to his dominating self goin 7 1/3 innings giving up only 5 hits and ZERO runs to push his record back above .500 at 7-6 on the ’09 campaign.
OTHER NOTES:
quentin.jpg
Carlos Quentin was sent to triple a charlotte to begin his rehab assignment off the DL. The Sox don’t have a timetable for his return but it is rumored that he will be back after all -star break.
IN KENNY WE TRUST:
kennydub.jpg
Now that the Sox have won 7 in a row and if the Tigers lose tonight will be 1.5 games behind first place it looks like Kenny will be a buyer instead of a seller at the upcoming trade deadline. I know we need at least one more solid starter in the rotation so we can have a formibadle 4 man rotation. After Buerhle, Danks & Floyd you have Clayton Richard who is always shaky & even though Jose has been great of late he tends to be inconsitent and might make a major dip after the break. So i think bringing in a solid #4 guy would defitnley make things better. I don’t know who’s available but I know Kenny will be looking. Gavin Floyd will be on the bump for us in a afternoon game so hopefully we can extend that streak to 8. Unitl next time yall…PEACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SLOWLY SINKING….

ozzie1.jpg

Wuz good world dis ya boi White Sox Real Talk checkin back in after a horrible offensive performance by the Sox last night. What can i say about this team hmmm…….i got it, this years White Sox are kinda like when you’re on a plane that has a lot of turbulence and then the ride is smooth for about 5 minutes and then a huge dip occurs again.Just when you think that the Sox are gonna start rollin they put up a 4 hit, 2 run performance like they did last night. I blame this loss SOLELY on the White Sox weak offense because once again we blow another good performance from a Sox pitcher with bad no let me re-phrase that, horrendous offense.
jd50.jpg
Besides the rough two innings where he was pitching slower than usual John Danks was solid, he shut the Dodgers offense for 5 more innings. The main problem for us was this guy:
kuroda.jpg
Hiroki Kuroda, we made this guy look like a Hall of Famer. He almost CG us until JD hit an RBI single in the 9th to make it a 3 run ball game. Now while I was watching this horrible excuse for a baseball game I was also for the 1st time in my 20 years of life checking in on the Cubs game ONLY BECAUSE THEY WERE PLAYING THE TIGERS DON’T GET IT TWISTED LOL I wanted the Cubs to win for the first time in my life because the Tigers are leading our division then I almost forgot who I was watching as the Cubs used their God-given ability to LOSE off the bat of Ryan Rayburn as Kevin Gregg(which will bring me to another point later( gave up a win on the walkoff as he blew another save.
typical.jpg
Now with the Sox down 6 games in the division the real question is with the trade deadline approaching in like 5 weeks will Kenny Williams be a buyer or seller???? Now im not completely jumping off the boat yet because a 6 game lead is no where near insurmountable and also besides Justin Verlander that Tigers pitching staff & bullpen doesn’t invoke fear into me. Now with the 2nd half approaching soon you gotta be aware of the Piranhas.
mmboys.jpg
Right now they are just doing what they usually do, they stay afloat only being 4 games behind the Tigers and as soon as the 2nd half begins they do a transformation and become the deadly Pirannhas. Thats why the Sox need to get a run going because this will be a 3 headed race real soon and with nuthing but games at the dreaded Metrodome left against the Twins its gonna get real hard. So if I’m Kenny I would still be a buyer instead of a seller because if we can get one more solid starter I believe things will get REAL interesting with a 3 team battle between Tigers, Sox & of course the deadly Pirannhas for that AL Central title. Until next time yall…PEACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AL CENTRAL RACE RECAP SEPT.21ST:MAGIC NUMBER IS 5!!!!

Wuz good world right now im in a OK mood i was SUPER PISSED before the end of the Sox game because my Chicago Bears BLEW A GAME BECAUSE OF A FIGHT THAT GAVE TAMPA BAY 15 YARDS!!!! I would say some words that are in my head right now but this is a family blog LOL!!! anyway back to baseball

WHITE SOX 3, ROYALS 0

By saying  Johnny  Danks pitched a helluva game would be a HUGE UNDERSTATEMENT, He pitched one of the best games ive ever seen him pitch as a member of the White Sox. 8.1 Innings pitched only 3 hits allowed and the most important number 0 Runs. Also great work by Matt Thronton and Bobby Jenks to close out the game. Only offense in this game was a Sac Fly RBI by Jim Thome that scored Dewayne Wise then a 2-Run HR by the captain Paul Konerko WHO IS REALLY STARTING TO HEAT UP AT THE RIGHT TIME. So a Great win as the Sox take the series and get ready to head to the Metrodome for a HUGE series with the Twins.

SIDENOTES: KENNY WILLIAMS IS A GENIUS FOR BRINGING IN DEWAYNE WISE WHO HAS BEEN TOO HOT THIS MONTH!!!

NOW LETS CHECK ON THE TWINS:

TWINS 4, RAYS 1

Now while the Sox were battling it out with the Royals the Twins were just tryna keep pace with the Sox as they played the Rays. Now obiviously the Rays bats went cold after problly a LONG night of celebrating their first playoff berth and after scoring 26 runs in the first 3 games they only muster 1 Run against Fransico Liraino who pitched a great game but besides the effort the Twins still trail The White Sox by 2.5 games in the Division as the Twins will have to sweep the Sox at home if they wanna overtake the lead in the AL Central. SO ALL MY SOX GOTTA DO IS WIN 1 GAME AND WE STILL HAVE LEAD BUT I HOPE WE WIN MORE THAN 1.

SOX LEAD AL CENTRAL BY 2.5 GAMES AND MAGIC NUMBER IS 5!!!

WHITE SOX REAL TALK…..PEACE!!!!
