GOOD TIMES ARE A ROLLIN’!!!!

sox4th.jpg

Wuz good world dis ya boi White Sox Real Talk checkin back in as the White Sox extend their winning streak to 7 games and looking like they are prime & ready to properly defend their AL Central Title now. White Sox came into this game trying to crack the code named Zack Grienke who was 10-3 with an ERA around 2 and has simply dominated the Sox this season.
greinke.jpg
The Sox hopped on Greinke early as A.J. lead off the 2nd inning with his 9th homer of the season to make it an early 1-0 lead. Now usually this is where Grienke gets his mojo back and shuts us up for the rest of the game….but not this time. White Sox then scored on a error by Royals 2nd baseman Alberto Callaspo to make it 2-0. The Sox then played small ball the rest of the game to take a 5-0 winfutureace.jpg.
what can I say about Johnny Danks??? cuz it really looks like he’s getting back to his dominating self goin 7 1/3 innings giving up only 5 hits and ZERO runs to push his record back above .500 at 7-6 on the ’09 campaign.
OTHER NOTES:
quentin.jpg
Carlos Quentin was sent to triple a charlotte to begin his rehab assignment off the DL. The Sox don’t have a timetable for his return but it is rumored that he will be back after all -star break.
IN KENNY WE TRUST:
kennydub.jpg
Now that the Sox have won 7 in a row and if the Tigers lose tonight will be 1.5 games behind first place it looks like Kenny will be a buyer instead of a seller at the upcoming trade deadline. I know we need at least one more solid starter in the rotation so we can have a formibadle 4 man rotation. After Buerhle, Danks & Floyd you have Clayton Richard who is always shaky & even though Jose has been great of late he tends to be inconsitent and might make a major dip after the break. So i think bringing in a solid #4 guy would defitnley make things better. I don’t know who’s available but I know Kenny will be looking. Gavin Floyd will be on the bump for us in a afternoon game so hopefully we can extend that streak to 8. Unitl next time yall…PEACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AL CENTRAL RACE RECAP SEPT.21ST:MAGIC NUMBER IS 5!!!!

Wuz good world right now im in a OK mood i was SUPER PISSED before the end of the Sox game because my Chicago Bears BLEW A GAME BECAUSE OF A FIGHT THAT GAVE TAMPA BAY 15 YARDS!!!! I would say some words that are in my head right now but this is a family blog LOL!!! anyway back to baseball

WHITE SOX 3, ROYALS 0

By saying  Johnny  Danks pitched a helluva game would be a HUGE UNDERSTATEMENT, He pitched one of the best games ive ever seen him pitch as a member of the White Sox. 8.1 Innings pitched only 3 hits allowed and the most important number 0 Runs. Also great work by Matt Thronton and Bobby Jenks to close out the game. Only offense in this game was a Sac Fly RBI by Jim Thome that scored Dewayne Wise then a 2-Run HR by the captain Paul Konerko WHO IS REALLY STARTING TO HEAT UP AT THE RIGHT TIME. So a Great win as the Sox take the series and get ready to head to the Metrodome for a HUGE series with the Twins.

SIDENOTES: KENNY WILLIAMS IS A GENIUS FOR BRINGING IN DEWAYNE WISE WHO HAS BEEN TOO HOT THIS MONTH!!!

NOW LETS CHECK ON THE TWINS:

TWINS 4, RAYS 1

Now while the Sox were battling it out with the Royals the Twins were just tryna keep pace with the Sox as they played the Rays. Now obiviously the Rays bats went cold after problly a LONG night of celebrating their first playoff berth and after scoring 26 runs in the first 3 games they only muster 1 Run against Fransico Liraino who pitched a great game but besides the effort the Twins still trail The White Sox by 2.5 games in the Division as the Twins will have to sweep the Sox at home if they wanna overtake the lead in the AL Central. SO ALL MY SOX GOTTA DO IS WIN 1 GAME AND WE STILL HAVE LEAD BUT I HOPE WE WIN MORE THAN 1.

SOX LEAD AL CENTRAL BY 2.5 GAMES AND MAGIC NUMBER IS 5!!!

WHITE SOX REAL TALK…..PEACE!!!!

AL CENTRAL RACE UPDATE SEPT.2OTH:MISSED OPPORTUNITIES

Wuz good world, welcome to the LATE edition of White Sox Real Talk AL Central Race recap, now im writing this so late because last night i was too pissed that we lost to the Royals that i couldnt muster up the strength to write a blog but first things first. As much as i hate the Chicago Cubs im still from the Windy City so Congrats on back-to-back Division Titles Good Luck in the Posteseason cuz belive me….U GON NEED IT

NOW LETS START WITH THE RECAP

RAYS 7, TWINS 2

Now coming into the game the Rays needed just 1 win to secure their first ever trip to the postseason, now this game was mostly a wrap for the Twins after they blew a bases loaded with 0 outs oppurtunity in the 4th Inning as they scored no runs. Scott Kazmir had the Twinkies on lock from  the jump going 8 scorless innings the Twins couldnt even get a run til the Rays Bullpen came in as they fell short 7-2 and the Rays are going to the playoffs for the first time ever. The Twins will have a much better oppurtunity to win tonight with Liriano on the mound but his last outing wasnt so good as he gave up 7 runs to the CLEVELAND INDIANS of all people in 2 innings of work so we’ll see how he rebounds from that.

SO WE NOW HEAD TO KC….

ROYALS 5, WHITE SOX 2

Now heading into this game the Twins just lost to the Rays so the Sox had a great oppurtunity to take a 3 1/2 game lead in the central with a win against the Royals on paper it looks like an easy task but with the Sox NOTHING IS EASY!!!. So the game started off on the wrong foot as Gavin Floyd sure didint look like the man that pitched a GREAT game in The Bronx against the Yankees as he gave up 4 runs in just 6.1 Innings of work.

So the bullpen comes in a gives up another run in the 7th and the Royals lead 5-0, so in the top of 8th the Sox try to mount a comeback as my fav. Sox player right now, Alexei Ramirez hit a 2-run shot(20 HR of Season) to left field to cut the lead to 5-2 so we head to the top of the 9th with 2 on and JD at the plate and he just Blasts a shot to Left field that is ROBBED by Mark Teahen so the Sox blow and oppurtunity to tie the game with 1 Out so its Big Jims turn to tie the game with 2 outs but he goes down swinging and the Sox miss a golden oppurtunity to take a commanding 3 1/2 game lead over the Twins. But theres always a good side to each story tongiht the Twins are still in Tampa and the Sox have one last chance to go up 3 1/2 games before heading to Minnesota for THEE BIGGEST SERIES OF THE YEAR and another good note is that since both teams lost the MAGIC NUMBER NOW SHRINKS TO 6. And tonight they will have a great chance to win if Johnny Danks can pitch like he did last sunday.

Until next time im White Sox Real Talk….PEACE!!!!
