GAME 163, CHICAGO ARE U READY????
LAST THURSDAY THEY HAD BEEN BEATEN PHYSICALLY AND MENTALLY AFTER A 3-GAME SWEEP AT THE HANDS OF THE MINNESOTA TWINS, EVERYTHING LOOKED BLEAK FOR THE WHITE SOX AS THEY HAD TO BASICALLY GO 5-0 TO GO TO THE POSTSEASON AND WITH THE TWINS GOING HOME TO PLAY THE KANSAS CITY ROYALS IT LOOKED ALL BUT OVER. BUT THEN THE UNTHINKABLE HAPPENED KANSAS CITY COMES RIGHT INTO THE DREADED METRODOME AND TAKE 2 OUT OF 3 FROM THE TWINS SURE THE SOX LOST 2 TO THE INDIANS AS WELL BUT THE HEART OF THE SOX WAS STILL BEATING. THEN BEFORE YOU KNOW IT THEY WIN ON SUNDAY 5 TO 1 AGAINST INDIANS TO SET UP THE MAKEUP GAME WITH THE TIGERS AND IN A CLOSE 2-2 GAME IN THE BOTTOM OF THE 6TH WITH BASES LOADED AND 1 OUT THIS HAPPENED:
ALEXEI RAMIREZ BREATHED EVEN MORE LIFE INTO THE SOX PLAYOFF HOPES AND A BLOW TO THE TWINS CLINCHING ON MONDAY. NOW THE TWINS DO WHAT THEY ABSOLUTELY DIDNT WANT TO TO DO AS THEY WILL HAVE TO HOP A PLANE A HEAD TO A PLACE WHERE THEY ARE ONLY 2-7 THIS YEAR, U.S.CELLULAR FIELD. BUT WITH ALL THAT BEING SAID HISTORY IS NOT ON THE SIDE OF EITHER TEAM. FOR THE TWINS THE LAST 3 1 GAME PLAYOFFS HAVE BEEN WON BY THE HOME TEAM AND FOR THE SOX NO TEAM IN MLB HISTORY HAS EVER WON 3 GAMES IN A ROW AGAINST 3 DIFFRENT TEAMS TO MAKE THE POSTSEASON. BUT ALL THOSE STATS GO OUT THE DOOR ALL THAT MATTERS IS 1 GAME AND NO MATTER THE OUTCOME I WILL BE PROUD OF MY 2008 WHITE SOX BECAUSE WE FIGHT THROUGH EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE NO ONE EVEN EXPECTED US TO EVEN BE CLOSE TO 1 WIN AWAY FROM A DIVISION TITLE. THAT IS REALLY A TESTAMENT TO OUR TEAMS COMEBACK ATTITUDE AND OF COURSE IN MY OPINION THE BEST MANAGER IS BASEBALL HATE HIM OR LOVE HIM OZZIE GUILLEN
IF WE WIN, WE ADVANCE TO PLAY THE RAYS ON THURSDAY AND THE SOUTHSIDE IS GON PARTY ALL NIGHT BUT EVEN IF WE LOSE, HELL YEA I’LL BE DISSAPOINTED CUZ I NEVER WANNA SEE MY SOX LOSE BUT AT LEAST THEY WENT OUT SWINGING AND WITH SOME HONOR THIS WILL BE A GREAT SEASON EITHER WAY BUT I THINK WE WILL GET IT DONE TONIGHT. JOHN DANKS I THINK WILL DELIVER ON THE BIGGEST START OF HIS YOUNG CAREER AND IT SHOULD BE A FUN NIGHT. I WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THERE TO ROOT MY SOX ON BUT THE GAME SOLD OUT BEFORE I EVEN CAME HOME FROM WORK LAST NIGHT LOL, SO I’LL BE ROOTING AT HOME

This game all turned around when Alexei Ramirez hit a SHOT HEARD ROUND THE CITY:
I was at work watching the game and as soon as he hit hit I FLEW OUT MY CHAIR AND RAN AROUND THE PLACE LOL That was The best moment of the season so far. Now looking forward to tommorow boy is it gonna be good. Believe me U.S. Celluar Field is THEE LAST PLACE the Twins want to be tommorow. They are 2-7 at Da Cell this year and they will be pitching Nick Blackburn(who has not been good lately) against John Danks and the winner is AL Central Champ and loser goes home right now i think the Sox have all the momentum and Twins might be scared to play here, BUT THEY ARE STILL THE PIRAHNAS so the Sox better not be TOO confident but i believe we will get it done GO SOX!!!

AL CENTRAL RACE UPDATE:PLAYOFFS COME A LITTLE EARLY
Wuz good world this is White Sox Real Talk im sorry i havent wrote a blog since friday but its been a very dissapointing weekend for me. First the Sox blow 2 HUGE oppurtunites to regain 1st place on Friday & Saturday then I had to take the long route home on Saturday because the Chicago Police shot someone in my neighborhood and the streets were blocked off(but thats a story for another day). Anyway things looked MUCH BETTER on Sunday as not only did my Bears beat the Eagles 24-20 but MY WHITE SOX STAYED ALIVE WITH A 5-1 VICTORY OVER THE INDIANS. So now that takes us into today:
It will be Tigers and White Sox and basically the playoffs began for us yestserday cuz from here on out its WIN OR GO HOME!!!. Its really very simple we win tonight then we host the Twins in a AL Central Divison Title game tomorrow evening(AND IF THAT GAME HAPPENS TOMMOROW I WILL BE IN ATTENDANCE TO WATCH THE SOX KICK THE **** OUT THE TWINS) OR we lose and Season is over and I’ll begin my mourning for about 2 days then get ready to root against the Cubs on Wensday lol. I hope the White Sox can carry the momemtum over from yesterday into todays game because if they think that a Jim Leyland Baseball Club is just gon roll over cuz they have nothing to play for, then you better think again. AND GUESS WHO’S ON THE MOUND FOR THE TIGERS TODAY?????? OUR OLD FRIEND FREDDY GARCIA. Freddy is DEFINTELY going to pitch hard today as he is tryna keep a spot on the Tigers for next year. I know Detroit is going to come to play because lets go back to Spring Training and EVERYBODY EVEN ME thought they were going to the World Series after they aquired Miguel Cabrera and Dontrelle Willis. But thats the funny thing about baseball you never know whats gonna happen as the Tigers have the worst record in the AL Central. So they would love nothing more but to end the White Sox season today. So thats my analysis if i don’t write another blog this evening that means that we lost lol. So hopefully I’ll be back at the Good ‘Ol Laptop this evening. GO SOX!!!! DO U BELIVE IN MIRACLES????

AL CENTRAL RACE RECAP SEPT.25TH:HEARTBREAK SOUTHSIDE
TWINS 7,WHITE SOX 6
Devastation…..Heartbreak….Shock….Bamboozled…..Speechless. Those were all the words that described how I was feeling last night at approximatley 10:45pm. There were runners on 1st and 3rd, 2 Outs, 1-2 count, then BANG Alexi Casilla hits a RBI single right down the throats of White Sox fans everywhere. Pandamonium erupts at the Metrodome, The Twins rush the field to celebrate, I Damn near break my remote and fall to the floor with my head down just shocked and wondering WHAT THE **** JUST HAPPENED?. We had a 6-1 lead and let them score 6 unanswered runs for a comeback victory. Sure there were some HORRIBLE calls by 3rd Base Umpire Marquez who ROYALLY SCREWED NICK SWISHER:
But thats not what lost us the game, we just couldn’t muster any runs off the Twins. Even though we scored 6 in the 4th inning if you go back and watch the tape we really didn’t do ****. We scored five of those 6 runs off defensive errors by the Twins. So it wasn’t like we just exploded in that inning. After that inning its was 1,2,3…YOU’RE OUT!!!! for the rest of the game, and the pirhannas just kept chipping at our lead. So 8th Inning rolls around and what happens? the Twins score on bloop-*** singles LIKE THEY ALWAYS DO!!!!. Once we got to extras i knew it was over. So now the Sox head home in 2nd place, and a beaten and battered team mentally. Now we gotta use Da Cell as a Springboard to get us to the postseason
All of our remaing games will be played here, sure we’re 53-26 at home but we can’t afford even 1 loss or its time to back it up for the winter. We have got to sweep the Indians,Beat the Tigers in the makeup game, and welcome the Twins to HELL in a tiebreaker. I now have to hope that the KANSAS CITY ROYALS BEAT THE TWINS AT THE DOME, BUT WHAT ARE THE ODDS OF THAT HAPPENING??. So mathmatically we’re still in it but emotionally I think my Sox have already packed it up. I sure hope I’m wrong, but we don’t deserve to be in the playoffs and its a shame cuz we’ve come so far from last year but we need a MIRACLE on 35th and Shields this weekend. They need something to pump them up i suggest that Ozzie play this movie before tonights game lol:

MY THOUGHTS & FEELINGS ABOUT AL CENTRAL RACE….
Wuz good world, I’m just sitting here at my laptop just wondering WHAT THE HELL WENT WRONG????. This time last week i was feelin good my Sox had a 2.5 game lead in the Al Central and the Twins were reeling. I was making plans to get ready to purchase my tickets for the ALDS and getting my credit card ready to buy my AL Central Divison Champs gear. A week later that party on the Southside is on hold and if we lose tonight it will be on hold……INDEFINTELY. But I know how we got here, What Do the Chicago White Sox and The Detroit Pistons have in common?? THEY BOTH ACT LIKE SOMEONE IS GONNA GIVE THEM SOMETHING JUST BECAUSE THEY WON 1 TITLE!!!!
HERE’S MY REASONS FOR SAYING SO:
DETROIT PISTONS WIN NBA TITLE IN 2004….
THEIR PLAYOFF SUCCESS AFTER TITLE:
2005-LOSE IN NBA FINALS IN 7 GAMES TO SAN ANTONIO SPURS
2006-LOSE IN EAST FINALS IN 6 GAMES TO MIAMI HEAT
2007-LOSE IN EAST FINALS IN 6 GAMES TO CLEVELAND CAVALIERS
2008-LOSE IN EAST FINALS IN 6 GAMES TO BOSTON CELTICS
WHITE SOX WIN WORLD SERIES IN 2005…….
SUCCESS AFTER TITLE:
2006-DESPITE WINNING 90 PLUS GAMES DON’T CLINCH WILD CARD, NO POSTSEASON

U SEE A PATTERN HERE??, I KNOW YOU DO. The Sox and Pistons both have horrible attitudes and act like the run thangs cuz they won 1 TITLE!!!! PISTONS THAT WAS 4 YEARS AGO, SOX THAT WAS 3 YEARS AGO STOP LIVING IN THE PAST!!!!!!
Wat also made me mad was 2 stupid comments by Mark Buerhle, one of those comments came yesterday when he said “THE TWINS ARE PESTS BECAUSE ALL THEY DO IS PLAY SMALL BALL, THAT’S ALL” WELL HOW DO YOU THINK THE SOX WON WORLD SERIES??????? SMALL BALL U IDIOT!!!
HERE’S THE SECOND COMMENT THAT CAME A COUPLE YEARS AGO BUT TRANSLATES TO THIS SERIES BUERHLE SAID “EVEN IF THE TWINS DO BEAT US TO WIN THE CENTRAL THEY JUST GONNA BE 1 AND DONE IN THE PLAYOFFS” Well last time I checked PLAYOFFS IS THE REASON YOU PLAY DUMB ***….
STOP WITH THE EXCUSES PLEASE….
ALL I KEEP HEARING IS “AW WE JUST DON’T PLAY WELL IN THE DOME, I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO SAY” STOP YOUR WHINING ALREADY SURE WE HAVE BAD HISTORY THERE……BUT AT THE END OF THE DAY ITS STILL THE SAME DAMN GAME U HAVE BEEN PLAYIN SINCE LITTLE LEAGUE…..BASEBALL. Wuz good world, I just hope all of yall are doing much better than i am right now. Im so upset right now its not even funny once again we get OUTPLAYED AND OUTHUSTLED by the Twins. I’m gon keep it plain and simple tonight, we had a good outing for out veteran pitcher Mark Buehrle
But once again our bats went on vacation. Besides his bad 2-run inning in the 2nd, Buehrle pitched a great game as he went on to pitch 5 scorless innings after that bad start,but the Sox offense didnt do anything to help him out as we only scored 2 runs and for the second night in a row all came off the bat of this man:
Now don’t get me wrong im glad that Jr. is FINALLY heating up but he’s getting NO HELP WHATSOVER from his teamates. Jim Thome is on a slump, Jermaine Dye hasn’t been seen since mid-August and everyone else on the team keeps grounding out. There’s a problem when the only 5 runs we scored this series have come off the bat of Jr. WE NEED TO STEP IT UP AND FAST. Plain and simple tommrow night is a MUST-WIN FOR THE SOX. If we lose we become 2nd in Central and we have to at least win 3 out of our next four or sweep and hope the Twins lose 1 game just to get to A TIEBREAKER GAME AT THE CELL. So i just hope Gavin is ready tommrow cuz we gon need him and also he’s gon need the offense to give him support or we gon be in for the same night we had tonight.
ALL YEA AND BY THE WAY THAT WAS A HORRIBLE CALL BY THE 2ND BASE UMPIRE WHEN HE CALLED CARLOS GOMEZ SAFE, OC HAD HIM TAGGED UP A MILE AWAY, GET YOUR HEAD OUT YOUR *** AND CALL THE GAME RIGHT, YOU CAN’T MAKE MISTAKES LIKE THAT IN A CRITCAL GAME…..STEP IT UP

AL CENTRAL RACE UPDATE SEPT.23RD:TWINS DRAW FIRST BLOOD!!

WELCOME TO HELL WHITE SOX:
“That wasn’t a loss that was a ****** *** whoopin” those were the words of White Sox Manger Ozzie Guillen after a very painful 9-3 loss to the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday night. Let me explain why he is 100% right with those comments. The game started off pretty well for the White Sox as they scored first and took the early lead but too bad for us that it only lasted 1.5 OF AN INNING. As Javier Vasquez
ONCE AGAIN proved his naysayers right by giving up 5 RUNS IN 4 INNINGS OF WORK. To make things worse he just got MURDERED BY THIS GUY:
Jason Kubel was like god to us last night he just beat our *** it all started when Javi punked out and walked Justin Morneau ON 4 STRAIGHT BALLS BECAUSE HE WAS SCARED!!!. So you have a man on first now with 0 Outs so what happens???? KUBEL STRIKES WITH A 2-RUN SHOT and the Twins never looked back as they went on to destroy us 9-3 the Sox pitching Staff gave up 9 RUNS, 3 OF THEM WERE LONG BALLS. 1 HR for Delmon Young and 2 HR FOR JASON KUBEL OF ALL PEOPLE. He always kills us EVERYTIME we play the Twins. The only Bright Spot for the Sox is when Ken Griffey Jr. hit his 610th HR, it was meaningless as far as the game went but he made history by passing up Sammy Sosa at #5 all-time HRs.
So after that loss the White Sox see their lead in the Division slip to 1.5 games now and their Magic Number stays at 5. I was truly DISGUSTED with the Sox efforts. They’re playing like they’re waiting to lose instead of playing to win and it made me think of if this team blows it and dosent make the playoffs IT WILL BE THE SICKEST FEELING I’VE FELT WATCHING SPORTS SINCE THE BEARS LOST THE ’06 SUPER BOWL. But we still have a chance to win tonight re-gain our 2.5 game lead in the Central and still return home with the lead but we are going to need a SOLID performance from Mark Buehrle
The game will be on Comcast Sporstnet at 7pm fortunatly for me I’ll be in class and will miss majority of the game so i wont have to see a collapse. I’ve found it generally when i dont see a game they win, So hopefully that happens tonight.

Wuz good people, welcome to another great edition of White Sox Real Talk as I’m about to preview the Huge Series between the White Sox and Twins which could determine who wins the AL Central. Lets first take a look at the pitching matchups:
Tuesday Sept.23rd
Javier Vasquez(12-14) 4.32 ERA
VS.
Scott Baker(9-4) 3.69 ERA
KEY FACTOR IN THIS GAME: How well will these pitchers pitch after they both had horrible outings the last time out. Vasquez has a 2-0 record with a 5.11 ERA aganist the Twins this season while Scott Baker has a 1-0 record with a 5.73 ERA in 2 starts against my Sox. So defitnley rest will be the key.
Wensday Sept.24th
Mark Buerhle(14-11) 3.87 ERA
VS.
Nick Blackburn(10-10) 4.15 ERA
SIDENOTES: Mark Buerhle has a 1-2 record with a 5.79 ERA against Twins this year while Nick Blackburn has a 1-2 record in 4 starts this year against the Sox with a 6.14 ERA
Thursday Sept.25th
Gavin Floyd(16-8) 3.84 ERA
VS.
Kevin Slowey(12-11) 3.85 ERA
SIDENOTES:The White Sox Ace is having a GREAT year against the Twinkies this year with a 3-1 record and a phenomenal 1.86 ERA in 4 starts against them this year and has allowed only 17 hits in 29 innings this year. While Kevin Slowey has started against the Sox 4 times but only has 1 decision against them when he shut them out at the Metrodome.
KEY FACTORS FOR SOX TO WIN THIS SERIES:
1. Well for one thing our bats need to wake up IMMEDIATLEY because its going to be extremely hard to beat the Twins in a low-scoring game in there building. We need to Out-Score them because the Twins just don’t die, you could be having them under control the whole game but as soon as the 8th and 9th innings come THEY SCORE RUNS OUTTA NOWHERE(Just ask the Rays when the Twins scored 5 runs in the 9th to comeback and win) so we need to have a cushion to avoid that.
2. PITCHING,PITCHING,PITCHING. I can’t emphasise enough how important our pitching is going to be in this series we need all our starters to pitch great games and at least last till the 7th inning or even better the 8th. But we can’t have any 5 to 6 inning Outtings by our starters and then expect our bullpen to hold them down.
3. OZZIE NEEDS TO MANAGE A GOOD SERIES, Octavio Dotel, Ehren Wasserman, Boone Logan and anyone else not named Scott Linebrink, Matt Thronton, and Bobby Jenks TELL THEM TO STAY AT HOME FOR THIS SERIES WE CAN’T AFFORD BLOWN HOLDS!!!
4. WE NEED OUR MVPS TO STEP UP!!!:
I NEED A BIG SERIES FROM JD AND BIG JIM, THEY STRUGGLED IN KC AND NY SO WAKE UP NOW!!!
5. HAVE THE EYE OF THE TIGER: The Twins are down and out right now they are 4-6 in their last 10 games, they have ALL the pressure they need to save face at home and they have to sweep us to overtake the Divsion.
6. DON’T PLAY TO NOT LOSE, YOU HAVE THE LEAD SO PLAY TO WIN THE GAME: All you have to do is WIN 1 GAME and you head back to Da Cell with the lead still intact and remember if we win 2 out of 3 ITS LIGHTS OUT FOR THEM DAMN PIRANHAS and if we sweep:
YOU WILL BE WEARING THIS ON THURSDAY!!!!!
MY PREDICTIONS: Now I think we are just gonna come away with one victory but my gut feeling is telling me that the Sox are gonna surpise me so i say SOX TAKE SERIES 2-1 AND WILL CLINCH AT HOME AGAINST CLEVELAND.
