I keep it 100 about my white sox even if its painful
SOX WIN A CLOSE ONE; CONTRERAS DEMOTED!
Wuz good world dis ya boi White Sox Real Talk and before we get started i just wanna give a MAJOR SHOUT-OUT TO ALL THE MOMS(ESPECIALLY MINE!!) Ok now that we got that out the way let’ s talk about last nights game. After getting a 6-0 beating at the hands of the Rangers & Jose Contreras’ pitching(we will most defitnley get to his slacking behind later) the Sox were looking to even the series at one a piece. There wasn’t a lot of action but the Rangers tied the game in the 7th when Ian Kinsler hit a bloop RBI single on Matt Thortnon to tie the game at 2. Then in after Scott Linebrink pitched a shutout 8th inning(he got the win) Carlos Quentin scored the winning run of a Paul Konerko Sac Fly. He didn’t score easily as he slid and missed the base but quickly got his hand on it to score the run. Bobby Jenks then came in to get his 7th save in 8 oppurtunites. CHIPPY PLAY:
As you can see from the picture there was a lot of chippy play goin on in this game as the Rangers almost hit one of our players in the game & hitting 6 White Sox players in just the first 5 games these two teams have played which led Bobby Jenks to throw a warning pitch at Ian Kinsler. After the game Bobby made it be known it was intentional saying this
“I wanted to go in and send a message and I think that message was sent. Our guys have been hit a lot this series, definitely in a one-run game didn’t want to put anyone on base. Just wanted to send a message and say hey we can play that game, too.” I like that out of our closer showing no fear. Side note: Even though he didn’t get the win Johnny Danks pitched a good 6 innings by striking out 10 and only allowing 1 run. Now on to Mr.Contreras….what can i say hmmm… by saying he has been bad would be a HUGE UNDERSTATEMENT..HE HAS BEEN HORRIBLE!!! he has a 0-5 record and is basically an automatic loss everytime he takes the mound. So Ozzie decided to make changes and will take Jose out of the starting rotation and replace him with Clayton Richard. I’m interested to see how Clayton will do, he didn’t do so good last year but he’s had some training this offseason so let’s see what he can do. But Jose will either be put on the DL to work on his control and overall pitching or sent to the minors. Well that’s all for me today…PEACE YALL!!!
