ALDS WHITE SOX/RAYS GAME 1 RECAP: LONGBALL LONGORIA

RAYS 6, WHITE SOX 4

Evan Longoria

Well so much for those first playoff jitters as the Rays got off to a great start in this one, the scoring started in the bottom of the 2nd Inning when Evan Longoria just crushed a ball over Javy Vasquez giving the Rays a 1-0 lead. The Sox responded in the top of the 3rd inning when Dewayne Wise hit a 3-run shot to give the Sox a 3-1 lead.

Then thats when the wheels started falling off for Javy as he ONCE AGAIN COULDN’T LAST MORE THAN 4.1 INNINGS giving up a 2nd home run to Evan Longoria which tied the game but 2 more runs after that which made it a 4-3 game.

After that Clayton Richard came up and did pretty good until he gave up 2 more runs in the 8th to make it a 6-3 game. In the 9th Paul Konerko hit a meaningless Home run to cut it to a 6-4 lead but the Rays get the next 3 outs very easily and win it 6-4.

TURNING POINT: The turning point in this game was back in the 7th inning when the White Sox had bases loaded with 1 out. Juan Uribe strikes out(NOT SHOCKING AT ALL)then Mr.RBI Orlando Cabrera comes up with bases still loaded and after one pitch starts talking **** to Rays reliever Grant Balfour. They stare each other down for about 2 mins. then Balfour strikes OC out while sharing a few choice words while he leaves the mound to end the inning.

Well good news is its only Game 1, and tommrow one of our aces Mark Buehrle takes the mound against Scott Kazmir. Thats really the only bright spot right now as the Sox continue to prove to people that they are only a Home Run hitting team and cant manufacture runs. But still Game 1.

WHITE SOX REAL TALK….PEACE
